Our design for Cordia, a premier senior living community in The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, was the result of extensive research and meticulous planning to create an environment that prioritizes safety, comfort, and engagement. Understanding the unique needs of aging residents, we carefully integrated accessible layouts, intuitive wayfinding, and adaptable spaces that foster independence while offering essential support. Thoughtfully designed regenerative outdoor spaces provide opportunities for relaxation, socialization, and wellness, seamlessly blending nature with daily life. From inviting courtyards to serene walking paths, these landscapes encourage movement and connection, reinforcing the vibrant, all-inclusive lifestyle that defines Cordia. Our approach ensured that every design element—from interior functionality to the surrounding environment—supports a holistic experience, allowing residents to thrive in a setting that balances care with a true sense of home.
